1. About the Platform

VOTE. provides an online platform for discovering contestants, participating in pageant-style competitions, casting votes where voting is open, and viewing results and winner information. Features and contest formats may change between seasons.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must meet the minimum age and other eligibility requirements stated in the applicable contest rules.
• Information submitted by you must be accurate, current and not misleading.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account.
• Do not impersonate another person or submit an entry on someone else's behalf without their permission.

3. Contestant entries and content

• Contestants must have the rights and permissions needed to submit their names, photographs, videos, biographies and other materials.
• You must not upload content that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, sexually exploitative, or that infringes another person's rights.
• By submitting content, you give the Platform operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, reproduce, resize, display and promote that content as reasonably necessary to operate, publicise and report on the relevant contest.
• You retain ownership of your submitted content. This permission ends when the content is removed, except for copies reasonably required for records, dispute handling, security, legal compliance or backups.
• Do not submit private or sensitive information that is not required for participation.

4. Voting and fair play

• Voting is subject to the instructions, opening and closing times, vote limits and any applicable charges clearly displayed for the relevant contest.
• Votes may be rejected, removed or reviewed where there is reasonable evidence of automated activity, manipulation, duplicate or fraudulent transactions, abuse of technical weaknesses, or breach of contest rules.
• You must not use bots, scripts, fake accounts, paid vote manipulation, unauthorised access or any method intended to distort a result.
• Vote totals, rankings and displayed results may be delayed while transactions synchronise or are reviewed. The Platform's validated records, subject to correction of errors and the published contest rules, determine the official result.
• Where voting requires payment, the amount, payment method and applicable conditions must be shown before you confirm payment. Do not pay outside the official payment flow on the strength of an unofficial message.

5. Prizes and winners

• Prize amounts, placement awards, eligibility, verification steps and payout timelines are those announced for the applicable contest.
• A displayed prize or winner announcement is not a promise of payment where the winner has not satisfied the published eligibility or verification requirements.
• Winners may be asked to provide reasonable information to verify identity and eligibility. Never send passwords, PINs or one-time security codes.
• Published payment records or proof images may be redacted to protect personal and financial information. A published record should not be treated as permission to reuse another person's private information.
• The Platform may correct an obvious publication or calculation error and will handle result disputes in accordance with the applicable contest rules.

6. Acceptable use

You must not interfere with the Platform's operation, probe or bypass security, access data that does not belong to you, distribute malware, scrape or harvest personal data without permission, or use the Platform for unlawful purposes. You must not harass contestants, voters, staff or other users.

7. Moderation, suspension and removal

We may hide or remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts or disqualify entries where reasonably necessary to protect users, maintain platform security, investigate suspected fraud, enforce these terms or comply with law. Where appropriate, we may request clarification or allow an appeal through the contact channel published on the Platform.

8. Privacy and personal information

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Platform's Privacy Policy, which should be read alongside these terms. Public contestant information may be displayed as part of participation and contest results. Do not submit information that you do not want made public unless it is specifically requested through a secure process.

9. Availability and third-party services

The Platform may rely on hosting, database, image-delivery, analytics and payment providers. We do not control independent third-party services and cannot guarantee their uninterrupted availability. We may update, suspend or discontinue a feature for maintenance, security, operational or legal reasons.

10. Disclaimers and limitation

The Platform is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and exclude implied warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

To the extent permitted by law, the Platform operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Platform, inaccurate user-submitted content, third-party service interruptions or events beyond reasonable control.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms when the Platform or applicable law changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after the revised terms take effect means you accept the updated terms. Material contest-specific changes will be communicated through the relevant contest information where reasonably practicable.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Nigeria.
